Founder/Director of the Board
I am the founder and director of this incredible organization. I have my hand in all areas of rescue from intake, medical canines, fundraising, events, problem solving, development, and more. To see my dream of helping animals blossom into a life saving mission like this is something words cannot describe. If you see a Spots volunteer, adopter, foster, or supporter out in the wild, give them a double high five! This small but mighty rescue family is the best.
I am the proud mom of 2 perfect pups named Bird and Lucille. Bird was a parvo puppy survivor and made her way not only into my home but also my heart. She has attached to my daughter and they’ve become fast friends. She wiggles her entire body whenever she sees my kiddos. And then we have Lucille. She is our local bully rescue who was dumped multiple times by her owner until finally they did not reclaim her. Lucille started out as a foster in the Adams household where she quickly became a permanent member of the family. She is an ambassador to the breed and we use her for dog temperament testing for many of the dogs who enter rescue. She’s truly a diamond in the rough!

In Sept of 2015 I met this young woman in a parking lot to give her a bunch of dog “stuff” for a rescue she was starting. We started talking and I asked 2 questions- “do you have a spreadsheet?” which led to “do you need help?”! That was the start of this crazy, fun, intense and awesome journey! Never thought I would be proficient in worm identification, website management, potty training and pretty much anything to do with canines and still learning every day. Intake has evolved into a well-oiled machine, and we have the best team around! I love working with fosters helping them brainstorm and have successful experiences. And we are extremely fortunate to have wonderful partnerships with Veterinary clinics who are a lifeline. The Spots Family is amazing and a wonderful community.
I have always loved animals which I credit my mother and grandmother. Growing up with multiple dogs I was excited to get my own as an adult- ended up with 2 cats due to work schedules! Finally found our first pup when we went to buy a refrigerator and came home with a dog from a PetSmart adoption event almost 30 years ago. Currently, Scotch and Moose are our Spots pups living at home. Harry is my mother’s Spots pup and Fend (Spots pup) is living in Paris with our daughter! We have over 180 foster dogs (gave up counting) of all ages, sizes and personalities! I currently tend to take ill dogs or very shut down dogs. I love working with shy nervous dogs- watching them bloom is amazing!
It is an honor to help people find their pup, a pup find their forever and to bring people and dogs together in many ways!
Foster Onboarding Coordinator
I started fostering with Spots in 2019 with the most adorable Great Dane mix named Alice. Alice was not our first foster, before her we fostered serveral other Great Danes. We absolutely loved fostering with Spots and have since gone on to foster many more dogs. Watching pups heal and find their families while being supported by this amazing community has been such a positive experience for our whole family. I am lucky to also have the support of my husband, my 3 kids, and resident dogs Bigsby the Great Dane and Buck our "Foster Fail" Pitty Boxer. Fostering will always be close to our hearts and I love that I get to share that while helping new fosters start their journeys too as the Foster Onboarding Coordinator. I look forward to continuing to foster with Spots for many more years.
Canine Adoption Lead
I have been involved with Spots in various capacities for several years after adopting our first rescue in 2019. I loved the supportive, positive experience that our family had and quickly learned that this is simply the Spots way! As an adoption coordinator my passion is to work with adopters to determine what qualities they are looking for in their next furry family member and working with fosters to determine what a forever home looks like for their foster dog. This thoughtful process sets everyone up for success!
I’m the proud fur-mom to Cora! She epitomizes the values of Spots. She was a mama dog who was heartworm positive and living with her puppies in an overcrowded shelter. Despite the high cost of her treatment - Spots said yes! Cora is now healthy, happy, and welcomes countless foster dogs into our home giving them their chance to find their forever family!
Volunteer and Event Coordinator
My journey with Spot’s started two years ago when my family and I began fostering. We all enjoy watching the pups blossom as they settle into a secure home. I stepped into the role of Volunteer Coordinator in 2024 as the organization started to grow. I enjoy connecting with all of our volunteers and helping new and old members of our team find their role in Spot’s mission. Our organization is as wonderful as it is because of the volunteers that give their time. In 2025 I took on managing our Canine Coffee Break requests. Looking forward to a great year!
Placement Coordinator
I started with Spot’s two years ago, thinking I’d just help with moves and temporary fosters. What I didn’t expect was how quickly rescue would grab hold of my heart. The work has been more fulfilling and rewarding than I ever could have imagined, and the dogs have given back to me in ways I didn’t know I needed. Along the way, my family and I have fostered many pups, each one leaving paw prints on our hearts, and we were lucky enough to find our own sweet Roxanne (Annie). Just as meaningful as the dogs are the incredible people I’ve met through Spot’s—the volunteers, fosters, and adopters who make up this community are some of the kindest, most inspiring people I know.
