Hi, I’m Lewis!
Aren’t I a hunk?! I’ve really been blossoming in my foster life, and now I’m ready for my furever home and a pack to call my own!
My foster family has found me to be the absolute best boy ever when I’m given clear, consistent boundaries and proper exercise. As far as teenagers go, I’m one of the gentlest out there! I love to go for walks with my pack, and I’m willing to explore anywhere, as long as I have another confident dog and my people to lead the way.
It takes me a bit of time to warm up to new people, but having another dog to show me how good people are really helps. I’m currently living with other dogs, cats, and even a human kiddo! I’m doing great with all these “creatures,” and I especially love playing in the backyard with my smallest doggie foster-sister. I’m pretty good with the kitties, and I like to play with the ones that reciprocate my play style.
I’m a smart boy, and I’m already learning basic commands – I know sit, down, wait, and come. I like working for treats, and I will love continuing my training in my forever home. This will also help me build additional trust with my people. I spend time in my kennel during the workday and all night without a peep – in fact, I consider my kennel to be my safe space. Bonus – I’m fully potty trained!
My ideal family will have a fenced yard for me to run in, patience while I continue to gain confidence and learn trust, and another confident dog for me to learn from! I’ll grow into the most loyal and loving companion.
