Meet Honey – this sweet girl’s name is a perfect fit for her!
Honey is a two year old bully breed mix who was stuck in a shelter in Alabama for months – as a black dog, a bully breed, and a dog with a physical difference (part of one ear is missing, but we think it’s adorable) she had three strikes against her in getting adopted there. We at Spot’s Last Stop were able to see what an absolute gem she is, and put her on her freedom ride to Minnesota.
Here’s some details on how Honey is doing in her foster home:
- Housebroken
- Crate trained – she needs some coaxing in, but has not made a peep while crated
- Dog friendly – Honey is fostered with two adult dogs, and had met several others – she is submissive at first, loves to play, and takes cues from other dogs well
- Kid friendly – due to her size and some nervousness with sudden movements and unfamiliar noises, older kids (8+) would be best
- Training – she walks well on a leash but does not appear to know any commands
- Barking – so far her foster family has only heard her bark once
Honey spends her days following her foster mom from room to room, and snuggling on the bed while she works. This girl is very affectionate, and loves her pets and belly rubs. Because her house manners are so nice, we believe she must have been someone’s pet at some point. However she ended up in the shelter, we are so glad she is here, and know that she will make an amazing addition to almost any home.
Bully breeds and unaltered puppies can not be adopted out of the State of Minnesota.
