Meet this amazing big boy Chris!

Chris is the biggest gentle giant you will ever meet! He is a very active, curious, and adventurous young boy. He doesn’t seem to mind cats and is ok with other dogs as long as they’re ok with his size and how he likes to play. He has big paws so when he initiates play it can be intimidating to other submissive dogs. He is slower to warm up to humans but with time and patience (maybe even some treats!) you can win his heart.

Chris has been doing amazing at potty training and he loves to learn! So far he has learned sit and down and is working on stay. He will show off his skills in exchange for treats and belly rubs. He’s also learning how to walk on a leash and enjoys his walks around the neighborhood! He needs humans that will be extremely patient with him and will provide structure and training. He hasn’t been a huge fan of being in his crate, mostly because his favorite place to sleep is with his foster humans. He has doing just fine being out but is learning to love his crate too!

He enjoys chewing on bones more then anything else and has the sparkly white teeth to show for it! He also enjoys being invited up onto your lap for some snuggles…yes this big boy thinks he’s a lap dog!

Chris would do amazing in a home with older kids that know boundaries. He does get jumpy at times but is working really hard on containing his excitement. He would also need a tall fenced yard to run all of his energy out or a family that is extremely active. He loves being outside in the snow more then inside – he can’t believe how lucky he’s been to get to call MN home. Chris will make a wonderful hiking, snow shoeing, canoeing, swimming, jogging buddy!
