I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Maggie

I'm Available

Maggie is a sweet, funny and fluffy 15 pound bundle of love! She is a little shy at first and may take a little time to warm up but after a few belly scratches, she is as happy as can be! She loves other dogs but prefers dogs her size as she is very leery of large dogs.

Maggie previously lived a life of neglect in a horse stall with other dogs but in a short time has really embraced life as a house dog. Every day she blossoms a little bit more and has made so much progress in the few weeks she has been in rescue. She is enjoying the finer things in life like curling up and sleeping in the human bed at night - she doesn't make a move until morning when she paws the human for the first belly scratch of the day.

Since she is a herding dog, she has herding tendencies where she collects all the shoes she can find and piles them up in her dog bed. Since there aren't any sheep, shoes are the next best thing - it's so cute!! When she's not herding shoes, she loves to go for walks and does great both on and off the leash. She stays close by and never runs off and always comes when she is called - she definitely knows her name! She is a very easy dog to go on hikes with and enjoys lots of exercise since she likes to be busy. She doesn't need to be crated since she doesn't bother anything except for her habit of shoe collecting. Did we mention that she likes belly scratches??

If you are interested in adding this sweet little fluff bucket to your home and promise to give her 49 belly scratches a day, you should apply for Maggie at SpotsLastStop.org. She will add a lot of love and laughter to your life!
