Hi, my name is Skye. I am an almost 2-year-old female, mid-size, mix. I am a bit on the shy side but once I get to know you, I am ALL IN!
I currently have a home with a fenced yard which I like because I do enjoy a bit of independence, but I would be just as happy going out on a leash and taking short walks. I am working on my leash training and am doing my best to get the hang of it. With a bit more training, I am sure I will do just great.
My current home does not have any other pets or children, but I have been in a home with another pup, and we got along splendidly, after a bit of adjustment time for me. I prefer a calm home with just a human or 2!!
I am 100% potty trained and give you signals when I need to go out. I am also kennel trained and sleep through the night. My current family works from home so I do not stay in my kennel all day and would prefer to not have to do that. When they go out for a bit, I am just fine if I have a bone to occupy my time. I am very quiet and only bark in the morning to let my fosters know I am ready to start my day!
I have learned to sit, and I am pretty good at “Leave It’ but would love more training. I know I can do it, if given the time and attention. My favorite things to do are bird & squirl watch, chew on bones and I love, love to snuggle and give kisses!

Sweet Skye is in the recovery room as she goes through Heartworm treatment. She is handling it like a champ. She has her back to back shots in early Feb, requires a calm, no exercise existence for a month then eases back into walks and fun. Skye is a sweetie and would love to start her life with you.
