Calling all lab lovers!
Beautiful Indy is a 6-year-old spayed English Lab who will work her lab magic on your heart the minute you meet her. Indy was an owner surrender, and we don’t have details on her history, but we can’t imagine how anyone would not want this amazing girl. Here is some key information about Indy:
Social – In true lab fashion, Indy loves every person and dog she meets. She loves kids, but due to her size and her enthusiasm taking treats, she should be watched closely with younger kids. She is being fostered with two adult dogs, and does great with them, and has also enjoyed meeting some younger puppies. Indy loves to be near her people, but is not demanding of attention
Training – Indy does not appear to have much formal training, but she is treat motivated, so should learn quickly. She is kennel trained and housebroken.
Energy level – moderate: she spends a good portion of the day napping. She enjoys a short walk around the neighborhood but does not need much exercise.
Indy is not much of a barker, so she could be an appropriate choice for an apartment. She is fine going potty on a leash, so a fenced yard is not a requirement
Medical – Indy came to us with badly infected ears and some skin issues. Her infections are cleared up, but she has residual scarring in her ears, which will need regular ear cleaning to make sure they stay healthy. She is on special food and is on a medication for suspected arthritis in her hips. Despite these issues, Indy is sweet, happy and affectionate.
