Who’s cute as a button and sweet as can be?  It’s Toby, a 4 month old boxer / terrier mix (best guess).

Toby is an absolute joy to foster.  He is housebroken with supervision, sleeps quietly in his crate at night, walks nicely on a leash and has only chewed on things he is supposed to have.  Toby loves the big dogs he is being fostered with, and wants to play with them until he is tired, and then wants to snuggle with them.  He also loves to snuggle with his humans, and makes adorable grunting sounds when he is very comfortable.  He loves stuffed toys, bones, balls, and frisbees.  Toby is a pretty typical puppy in terms of energy – he loves to play hard and then crash.  Toby has found his voice and likes to let his humans know if anyone walks past the house.

He’s happy and affectionate, with a tail that never stops wagging.   He loves other dogs and loves the teenaged humans in his foster home.  He has not met any younger kids, but is very interested in them when he sees  him on walks.  Toby is working on learning some basic commands, and seems to learn quickly.

Toby was very anxious when he was in a home without another dog for a few days, so he must go to a home with another dog – but he is happy and confident with other dogs in the house.  As with any puppy, he will need boundaries, training and consistency. We think Toby is just about perfect – is he the perfect puppy for you?
