Meet Sweet Potato (aka Sweet P, Sweets, Tato, Pie)!

Sweet Potato is a 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua/pug mix – maybe –  and weighs about 35 lbs…who is on a diet.  Her photos make her look a little taller than she truly is- she is a peanut who needs to shed a few pounds!  Honestly, we do not know what her mix is but we do know  she has the sweetest soul and is looking for her special someone. Sweet Potato is fully house trained, knows how to sit, and takes treats gently.  She is a curious girl with a super-sniffer and enjoys exploring our fenced yard.  The snow on the other hand is a love-hate relationship.  While not enthused to go into her crate – simply because she’d rather be with her humans – she will go in and not make a peep. Sweet Potato has slept soundly through the night since she arrived and is happy to greet you in the morning.  Sweet Potato is being fostered with a medium – large dog and a bird and 2 human teen-tweens. She is really curious about the bird but has taken direction to leave her alone. She came to us with a “does not like cats” label and I can tell she would chase and annoy another small animal.  Sweet Potato is playful and doesn’t seem to mind another dog in her space, however, it’s very clear that she’d prefer to have ALL of your attention.  Sweet Potato is the perfect mellow home dog .  She is a darling sweet soul ready to find her furever home!  This sweetie pie is very excited to meet you!
