Well hello there! My name is Dre and I’m a 1 year old, 100lb Great Dane/Lab mix. Don’t let my size fool you – deep down I think I’m a lap dog. My extra large stature means that I have extra love to give. I like to be as close to the humans as possible – always looking for love and affection. I’ve even been known to fall asleep with my front legs on my foster and my back legs planted firmly on the ground.

I’m very gentle with respectful children and am learning how to socialize with other canine friends. I haven’t met any cats since I came to Minnesota, but my foster parents in Alabama will tell you I did great with them.

Oh! Did I mention how incredibly smart I am? I already know sit, lay down, and shake. I’m a quick learner and am eager to be taught other commands. I would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard because I love to initiate play time with my humans. I’m always game for fetch and tug of war!

Want to know some other great qualities? I’m fully potty trained and am great on walks – always taking cues from my leaders. I’m still getting the hang of this whole kennel thing, and am getting better with each trip in there. Since I’m still technically a puppy, I love any toys and treats that give me a good challenge – those also help keep me busy during kennel time!
