Meet Snickers!  This big beautiful 5 month old shepherd mix is a favorite with his foster family, and we think you will love him just as much as they do.

Why is Snickers such a great dog?

• He instantly loves everyone he meets.  He has great emotional intelligence with the older dogs he is fostered with – he seeks them out for play time, but if they are not interested, he leaves them alone.   He is fostered with a teenager, who he adores, and has been very gentle with younger children he has met.
• He sleeps quietly in his crate at night or when he is crated for short periods during the day
• He is potty trained on a schedule
• He walks beautifully on a leash and only pulls if he sees a squirrel
• He is a chill co-worker for his work at home parents, and usually just hangs out in a sunny spot in the front hall while they are working
• He is extremely food motivated and will be easy and fun to train.
• Snickers loves snow more than any dog we have ever seen, and will roll in it and do a cute little belly crawl in snow drifts.  Based on how much he enjoyed his bath, he will probably be a swimmer.

Snickers was initially fostered with a cat, and we think he would do best in a cat-free house – otherwise, he does not have any special needs.  Are you the perfect family for this gentle giant?
