Meet Ruby!

She’s easy like a Sunday morning. No really, she’s one of the rare rescue cases where we can truly say, this girl is a very low maintenance dog. Ruby is a rescue miracle. She was born and raised on a chain for her entire life. She had Minimal human contact and was never allowed to run and play. These days, she is learning how to be in a house and that life is better off a chain. She is completely house trained and crate trained. In fact, she loves her crate so much that we encourage her to spend time out of her crate to learn what it is like to be a loving family dog. Ruby is shy and reserved and would love a mellow home. This girl would be Perfect for an elder or a homebody who loves to sit, chill, watch game shows and read the newspaper. She’d also do great in a townhome as shes great on leash and will take very short walks before she’s ready to go home and chill.

Her foster mom says that Ruby loves to listen to all of life’s problems and has a great listening ear. Therapist anyone? Ruby loves to bask in the sun and will play with the other resident dog from time to time. She doesn’t technically need another dog in her forever home, but she sure would love it to bring out some of that spunk that we know he’s deep down.

She’s a special case who deserves special attention. Someone to will allow her to relax, hangout, and be in your presence is the magic recipe for a happy life (according to Ruby).
