Hi! My name is Ruby, my foster family calls me Rubes or Ruby-Rube.
I can be a little shy at first but warm up quickly, especially if you have treats. I play really well
with the resident dog in my foster home, even when she tries to herd me and accidentally
pushes me over. I just get right back up and keep running around, I am VERY fast and can even
outrun my foster sister. Because I was found as an only pup, I need to have another dog in my home – it helps me be the best dog I can be. There are two resident cats in the home who tend to stay in their own
space and come out when I’m sleeping. I haven’t interacted with them much, but when I do
see them I tend to watch them and sometimes get up to sniff them. My foster family is working
hard with me on house training, and I am making great strides. The crate is not my favorite
thing to be in during the day when my foster family can’t watch me, but I am a champ at
sleeping in my crate at night! I settle right in at the foot of my foster family’s bed and stay quiet
all night, when I wake up, I lay there quietly and wait for my family to take me outside.
I love to be outside! I am learning how to play with toys and to share with my foster sister. Our
neighbors have a 1-year-old little girl who I absolutely adore, I am very gentle with her. I am
learning table manners; my foster family is teaching me “off” because I like to sniff
EVERYTHING! Treats and chew toys are the best way to get my attention because I have a great
nose, I am learning “sit” and “down.”
If you’re looking for a sweet puppy to sleep on your feet after a day of play, I’m your girl!
See you soon.
Love, Ruby
