Meet Perky the lovebug!

Our beautiful brindle girl! This pup is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. She’s a little nervous and timid at first, but once she feels safe with you and her new home she will come out of her shell. Perky doesn’t kiss a ton, but she loves attention and wants to snuggle as much as possible. Her happy place is cuddling with you on the couch, or napping with her nose nuzzled in your side. Perky currently lives with two resident dogs, and a 5 and 7 year old human. She is terrific with the kids and loves the attention they give her. She’s a little intimidated by the resident dogs, but she’s learning to stick up for herself and has even learned to play tug-of-war with the other dogs. She is just beginning to be comfortable wrestling with the other dogs. Perky would be okay with other dogs, but she’d also be great being the only dog of the house. She would be quite content being the sole recipient of all of your love. Perky is happy to eat and nap in her crate, but we’re still working on sleeping through the whole night in there- but once in her forever home she would be fine sleeping on the bed or in a dog bed in your room.   Perky is a smart cookie- responds really well to positive reinforcement and food prompts. To know Perky is to love Perky!   She can’t wait to meet her forever family!
