Hi, my name is Elsa but I also respond to Princess Elsa, Smart Girl, Pretty Girl and Baby Seal!  I am a very smart, friendly, and loving girl who is looking for my forever home. If you are looking for a loyal, loving, smart and cuddly best friend then I am the girl for you!

Things I like to do in my spare time: I LOVE dog beds and like to move from dog bed to dog bed- it grounds me.  I have been called a super chewer- I love to chew on Benebones, marrow bones, and heavy duty Kong toys. But I do not touch human stuff!  I like to be in the same room with my humans and hang out.  I love working and training (see below) and checking in for pets. I enjoy tummy rubs and any praise- I really want to please my people.  I am pretty mellow esp inside the house.

Things I know: I am REALLY smart.  I love to learn and work my brain but I am not hyper at all.  I love to be rewarded with treats and/or praise.  I am told I catch onto things quickly- I really like working and knowing what is expected of me.  I am house and kennel trained. When my foster family is away from the house I hang out in my kennel.  I also sleep just fine in my kennel but I sure would love to sleep in the same room as my people- I  LOVE dog beds and would surely stay put once allowed!  Like a good girl, I know how to sit and wait for my food.. I also do touch, sit, stay, go to your bed, and “calm” when I exit my crate.

Things I am working on: I am not sure if I like being outside.  I run out and do my business then run back inside- there are so many noises out there that I feel the need to deal with.  I do bark at them but am getting better.  I am working on being able to take calm walks- I think I like walks and I do like to go for jogs but I have a hard time when I see another dog on leash.  I can get myself worked up but I am working very hard on control- Jake the trainer and my foster mom are helping me and it is working.  I may be best as a home body dog – I do not think going to breweries or walks around a lake with so many dogs is the life for me.  But that is ok- I am an awesome home body and want to continue to work and improve!

Dogs: I lived with another dog in my 1st foster home and I loved him but I really need to be an only dog.  I just am not sure if I like other dogs yet or if it is a barrier issue.

Car rides: I LOVE car rides- they are so much fun!!!

Fence: I need a fenced yard- preferably a wooden fence so I cannot see everything- I might feel like I have to protect my yard too much.

My Story:  I lived in a house at one point and was loved by people but at that changed.  A few months ago I was dumped outside a shelter on a rainy night in January with my 2 beautiful babies.  I was a really good mama- I protected them and gave them everything I had.  I was super skinny when I first came into rescue but am nice and healthy now.  Since I was such a good mama, that explains some of my reactions towards other dogs.  I am working on it.

What to expect if you adopt me: A ton of love, kisses and I will be a loyal companion.  I am willing/want to train daily esp with my leash skills.  Because I am a female bully, I will need to have a consistent leader who will give me clear boundries and expectations- I thrive on that.  I am so smart and so loving and have so much to give.

I am so excited to have a family that would love to make me the center of their world!!!
