Meet Lila!

This puppy is an absolute stunner. And that piercing blue eye?! We know what you’re thinking… what IS she?! And the answer is, we don’t know! She’s a total mystery and we absolutely love it. She was found abandoned on the side of a highway at 8 weeks so much of her origin is unknown. We’re really not sure how big she’ll get, but she’s currently 33lbs. She’s got the softest double coat you’ve ever felt, truly unique coloring, and ears that could probably pick up quite a few channels. Currently she can be found rocking one pointy ear and one floppy ear and it’s the cutest thing you’ll ever see.  Because she was found alone, she will need to be adopted into a home with another dog.

Things Lila can brag about: Lila is both crate trained and house trained! She sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep. She takes cues from the resident dogs, and that has made learning a routine a breeze. She’s very polite when first meeting new dogs and people. Lila is a great combination of playful and lazy!

Things Lila is still working on: Lila can be shy and timid. This usually only occurs in new atmospheres or with new people, but sometimes she can also be startled by loud noises, barks, and swift movements. We’ve found that having another dog present makes her much more confident in these situations. When scared, she will usually try to run or hide so making sure she is always in a fenced in area or on a secure leash is important! Lila is coming along well with basic obedience and would love a chance to attend an obedience class! She swears she’s there for the learning, not just the high value treats 😉

Things Lila enjoys: Lila loooves dogs. She prefers slow, gentle introductions to new dogs but once she’s ready, it’s play time! She’s got fantastic manners around dogs and respects their boundaries. She can never have too many choices when it comes toys. Lila tends to run hot, so she loves finding a cool place to plop down and watch the world around her. Tile floors, air vents, and shade are her best friends. She loves water! Put out a puppy pool on a hot afternoon and you’ll have a bestie for life. She’s a huge fan of naps and she’ll always want to be in the same room as you.

Things you’ll love about Lila: She has an amazing personality and loves her people fiercely. She plays hard, but she also naps hard. With her piercing blue eye and floppy ears, Lila appears to be extremely expressive which is always cracking us up. She truly is a one of a kind girl and to know her is to love her.

We don’t know how Lila’s story started, but we do know that she deserves a happily ever after. Could that be you? If you’re interested in meeting Lila, have your people call her people! (actually foster mom says you should fill out an application)
