Hi, my name is Gus and I am a MAJOR cuddle bug. All I want is to be loved. You wonder where the saying “puppy dog eyes” comes from? Well…. it’s me. When I look at you, I promise your heart will melt. I know this because my foster family is a puddle. They know not to let me on the couch or the bed, but when I pout, I usually get my way. I am THAT cute. I love my toys, and treats. (and an occasional sock, so you best put them away) I know the basic commands and am eager to learn more. I am very gentle and consider myself a lap dog. I like to give hugs, (and kisses) if you will let me. If you don’t want a hug, I will sit and wait for you to give me pets. I expect you to greet me in the morning and when you come home. I am kennel and house trained. When I am told its bedtime, I run to my crate – no coaxing necessary. When I get tired, I want to lay next to my humans and cuddle. (and get lots of pets). I am great on a leash and love walks/runs. Do you need a running/hiking partner? I could be it!
I am 4 ½ years old and 65 pounds. Because I like to jump up to give you hugs, I probably shouldn’t be with a family with small children. I love playing with my foster canine brothers. I love the fenced yard here so I can roam and run as much as I want. If you are looking for a best friend who will love to you pieces, let’s talk, because I am looking to find ‘my person’.
