Buck

Border Collie & Labrador Retriever Mix

male · 2 Years · medium

A day in the life of Buck.

  • Gets out of the crate to go potty when the man leaves for work very early in the am.Goes back in to sleep until the tiny human friends get up around 6:30-7am. Gets back out for potty usually goes pee and poop!!
  • Once back in Buck drinks water and sits and waits for his kids to feed him. He is such a good boy and sits so nice waiting for his food dish to be filled and put in his crate. We use a maze bowl because the pork chop will otherwise eat his entire dish in 30 seconds!
  • After eating we go back outside to go potty again. He ponders the white stuff- hard in the am but soft in the afternoons-he loves to run/tumble ( being short is hard work)  in the warm afternoons.
  • We play with ALLLL the toys all day. Take naps. Play some more. Do all the puppy things-which includes chomping on chew toys, stealing toys from the kids rooms (their rooms are like puppy heaven after all with all the stuffies) and playing with the resident dog. Buck really likes to play with the resident dog even if she is crabby at times.
  • Buck is learning about schedules and does well with them. He goes to his crate for a few hours of school time. He doesn’t really want like it but after a minute or so he just goes to sleep. He is on a potty schedule and does very well with that- he is still a baby so routine is key.
  • He is such a good boy. Buck is learning sit, stay and drop/leave it. He is learning to walk on a leash and is catching on! He LOVES treats so training will be great for him.
  • Buck ADORES his resident kids!  He loves to have them play and train him.
  • He eats dinner around 5-5:30. We get the crazy zoomies and play from 7-9. Then it is time for bed!

Buck is a sweet boy who enjoys meeting new people and everyone has melted with his darling personality!  Buck is all puppy- loves to play, chew on bones and snuggle up for naps.  This awesome baby boy is excited to join his forever home!
