Hi, my name is Athena and I am a major cuddle bug. I am playful, gentle and consider myself a lap dog. I like to give hugs and kisses if you will let me. I know the basic commands and am eager to learn more- I sit and wait for you to give me pets. I am kennel and house trained- when it’s bedtime I go into my kennel and wait until morning. When I am tired I want to lay next to my foster family and cuddle. If left out of my kennel during the day I play with my toys and take long naps until I welcome you home. I am enjoy walks and am good on a leash but if I see a squirrel I want to be friends and chase it.

I love to meet new people and will hug and give them kisses with my tale wagging. My foster family sometimes call me wiggle butt as my whole body wiggles when I’m excited. I like to play tug a war with my toys or fetch but my favorite is to be by humans and snuggle.

I am 4 years old and about 60 pounds, I do like to jump up to give you hugs but am gentle around children. I love playing with my foster canine brother and interested in my foster feline brother. I tend to want to chase him but do redirect easily but would be best in a cat free home. 

I came from Texas with my family but once they arrived in Minnesota, they could no longer have me. I had a canine brother and do well with other male dogs, but I like to be the only female canine in the house. I am ready to find my forever home.
