Brews for Barks is back! As most of you know, this event is Spot’s Last Stop’s biggest fundraising event of the year, and we cannot wait to share it with you (and your 4-legged besties) at another new location!
This year’s event will take place at Bear Cave Brewing in Hopkins on September 30th from 11:30am-4:30pm. When you arrive at the brewery, go through the main doors, and take an immediate left (before the tap wall) and head up the stairs. We have the third floor and rooftop reserved for the event. There is an elevator on the other side of the tap wall by the kitchen, also to the left which will bring you to the third floor and rooftop.
Bear Cave is a self-pour establishment, which means you will need to show your ID and provide a debit/credit card in order to receive your drink card to be used at the tap walls on the main floor, third floor and downstairs in the Bear Cave. You can do this on the main floor host stand. You will be able to order food, non-alcoholic drinks, dog items, etc. from QR codes on the tables from your phone. Please ask the ladies at the front check in table if you have any questions.
Below are some of the fun things we will be offering this year:
• Bear Cave is creating a very special dog themed beer for us!
• Dog friendly!!! We want to see all your furry friends from Spot’s or not!*
• Special edition pint glasses (7 years and counting)!
• Live music
• Bags tournament with prizes (1st place $200 cash, 2nd place $100 of Spot’s merch and pint glasses, 3rd place $25 Bear Cave gift card and 2 crowlers)
• Kids activities (coloring contest, pumpkin decorating and more)!
• Ruffle prizes/cash ruffle to win $1000!
• New merchandise!
• Photos with your dog by Amara Peterson Photography
We are offering some pre-sale options again for you this year! You can purchase your ruffle tickets, $1000 cash ruffle tickets, special edition pint glass and your dog photo all online before the event! Please don’t worry, you will be able to purchase most of these items day of at the brewery, but please keep in mind we will only have a limited number of pint glasses at the pre-sale price so order now!
The last two year’s bags for barks tournament was a huge success, so we decided to bring it back again this year! We will have 2 sets of boards like last year, both outside (weather permitting). The bracket did fill up and we are capping the tournament at 12 teams so sign-up ASAP! If you sign up before September 1st, you will get a little discount!

Don’t forget to bring your dog as a plus one! *(please note dogs are only allowed in one indoor space attached to the rooftop deck, but you can bring them up the stairs to the rooftop as the exterior access isn’t paw friendly).
