Meet Marie-

This sweet old gal will steal your heart and then immediately steal your spot on the couch. When Marie came into rescue it was very evident she has not lived an easy life and yet she meets any and every new person with a wiggling tail and a happy smile. She is looking for her angel to love and adore her for the rest of her life. Here are a few things you’ll want to know about Marie.

Personality: A total love bug! Loves to meet new people and loves to snuggle even more! She loves to be near her people and is a fan of all the belly rubs!

Favorite things: Squeaky toys! She also loves a bone and every treat she’s ever tried. She also loves anything soft- a blanket, a dog bed…your pillow…any and all will do!

Medical: Unfortunately, Marie has been diagnosed with slow growing cancer and the location of the tumor is not operable.  Because of this she deserves to live out her days with love and being spoiled vs poking and prodding. In addition, Marie also just recently had a toe amputated and an eye wound that are both healing up nicely. She is also heartworm positive, but because of the above we have decided that since she has been through enough in her life, we will forgo the poking, prodding, and crummy feelings so she can live out her days in comfort and love. Marie is considered a hospice case– she truly needs an angel on earth to scoop her up and shower her in ALL the love.

Ideal home: Marie would absolutely love to be the only dog in the house. She is a couch potato and loves to soak up all the love, comfort, and zen in her home. She is house and crate trained. She adores the children in her foster home, so having kids is great!  She is quiet and low energy so would wonderfully in a home with shared walls.
