Meet Navy-

Navy is a typical red-nose pit bull. He has a beautiful red coat with gorgeous amber eyes and he has a killer smile that will make you want to squish his face. Navy is fully kennel trained and should be kenneled when his humans are not there to supervise him. How do you get him to go into his kennel? It’s easy! You walk up to his kennel with a treat (or his meal) and say “kennel” and viola! He goes in! At first he didn’t want to go into the kennel, but after throwing treats in there and rewarding him when he goes in, he’s learned that it’s not a bad place! He is fed in the kennel and sleeps there all night without a peep. If he wakes up before you do and needs to go out and do this business, he will let you know. Navy would do best in a home that sets boundaries and provides structure.

He gets along great with other dogs (males and females). And he just ignores those pesky felines. In his foster home, he has 3 resident dogs and 2 things that say “meow”. He loves to play outside in the yard and will chase around his doggy friends Sometimes those zooms come out and he is hysterical! He also likes to chase around his toys! He hasn’t figured out how to return the toys when you throw them, but he sure likes to run around. He loves treats, bones, and toys! He is extremely smart and treat motivated.

While he was in the shelter, he was described as an “ambassador of the breed” and was a staff favorite. He is very outgoing and social and hasn’t met a person he hasn’t liked. He is a very well adjusted. When his foster siblings correct him, he takes the corrections well and he knows when it’s time to back off.

Navy would thrive in a home where he can participate in outdoor activities. He loves going on walks and would love hiking adventures. His foster mama is working with him to help him with his leash manners.

Navy-Is ready to be your new forever friend!
