Meet Shyla-
What is not to love about Shyla? This “shy” girl quietly crept into our hearts and will do the same with you! She took a measured approach to getting to know her new fosters. But as she learned to trust us, she certainly opened her heart to us as well. While a little tentative in new meetings, she wants so much to receive your love and affection. She’ll work up her nerve and put herself out there for the chance to meet a new friend. Give her the chance and she will love you completely. Shyla is mostly house trained. She has been very quiet (no barking) so her signals are subtle for asking to go outside. Developing a routine has been key and she’s been amazing as we continue to get to know her. She would do best with slightly older children, those that can respect her need for time and space as new people and situations are introduced. She is great in her kennel, but would also do really well in a dog bed, which she loves. She adores her people and is so incredibly affectionate. She loves to get ALL the pets and scratches, and will freely flip for a belly rub. She is great on a leash but does not seem to crave long walks. She may work up to that, but a little play time and a turn around the block seems to be plenty of exercise for this sweet girl. Shyla is going to make someone or some family incredibly happy….will that be you?
