Pepper is the perfect combo of sweet with a little spice! She is extremely loyal and loving to her foster humans. She enjoys spending her day lounging, cuddling in your lap, burrowing under the covers of any bed, following around her foster dog siblings, leaning in her humans for scratches & love, and is learning how to walk on a leash. She is a strong willed girl, especially when she sees birds, so would need someone to work with her on her leash skills. Pepper would love a fenced yard while she works in her leash skills. She is doing great at potty training and has excellent house manners. She’s also amazing in her crate during the day and night when she’s asked to go in – a treat or two helps!

Pepper didn’t have the opportunity to learn to be a dog in her previous life. Can you believe this girl didn’t even know what a treat was when she got into her foster home. She is loving her treats now! It would help Pepper to be in a home with another dog to teach her how to dog or have humans that are dedicated to socializing her. Pepper would do great with older kids and has even been doing great with as young as five year olds.

Now for the big reveal – Pepper is extremely smart! She knows sit, down, no, off, touch/paw, and up to put her leash on. She is extremely trainable with just giving her pets in return or treats! She has learned to do “touch” with her paws vs her nose – it is so cute. Obedience classes would be a blast with Pepper!
