Meet Scout-
Just when we think we’ve heard it all, something absolutely jaw dropping happens AGAIN. Scout is almost five years old. FIVE. YEARS. OLD. and for those 5 years, Scout never left the house, never went on car rides, never went on walks! Can you imagine?! Being locked in a house for 5 years without ever being able to smell the fresh air? See new things? Meet new canine friends and people?!? Seriously… Scout had never met any people or dogs outside of his adoptive family….So when his former owners asked to surrender him to Spots, we took him in with open arms.
Without Scout being able to see the outside world, he can be very shy. But once he knows he’s safe in your arms, he’ll be your best friend. He is timid on walks but is working hard to understand there is life outside the tiny home that he was raised in. He can be hesitant and scared of new dogs so a home without small children (older kids would be ok!) and other dogs will help him blossom into the awesome dog that we know is in there. We’ve had him in rescue about a month and he’s already come so far! But you know what does rock about Scout? He is completely housetrained and doesn’t need a kennel. He is independent and makes for the perfect work from home buddy. He’s never far from your side and a nice dog bed next to your desk is a huge win for Scout. He loves being with his people and will work his way right into your heart.
So while he does need someone who is patient and understands his dumpy past, he also doesn’t need basic training and will be an easy dog to welcome home and shower with love. Will that be with you?
