Meet Demetri-
Demetri is a true rags to riches rescue story. If there is one word to describe him it would be resilient. Even with the worst start Demetri has blossomed in rescue and has turned into the fun, loving, playful, and sweet boy that we all knew that he could be!
Demetri is thriving in rescue and we’re dedicated to finding him the perfect home. Demetri lives with resident dog(s) and must have one in his new home. He is still learning how to “dog” and he follows his fur friends around the house and closely watches everything they do. A resident dog will help him be more confident in his new home. He is a playful guy so a playful fur-sibling would be best!
Demetri is VERY smart! He is always observing! He has picked up new commands quickly and will do great with continued training in his new home. Demetri is doing very well with his house training and though doesn’t signal when he needs to go out to go potty yet with frequent cues from his foster he has hardly had any accidents in his current foster home. Demetri sleeps perfectly in his crate at night and is very content with intermittent crate time throughout the day.
Demetri absolutely loves his fenced yard. He will need one in his new home. After too many months in a crate in the shelter this boy deserves it! Demetri also will need continued training on his leash. He is not reactive and is appropriately interested in humans and canine friends that pass but he is a strong boy and he definitely pulls on the leash! He’s a quick learner and will definitely benefit from continued leash training.
What about kids? Demetri loves the little people in his foster home. He is very gentle with them and would do wonderfully in a home with respectful children.
Finally- Demetri is going to need people who are patient and willing to put in the work to gain his trust. Once he trusts you…oh the love you are going to get! He is an incredible pup and we are so very excited for his happily ever after! Could you be the perfect match for Demetri? Come meet him and see!
