He is energetic and inquisitive – exploring and sniffing the world around him as quickly as he can take it all in. He loves to play in the snow and play with sticks in the yard, even when they are much too big for him.

He would do well with another dog to play or person/family that can give him attention and exercise. After a little play time, though, he is happy to snuggle. Axel is a people-pleaser and usually the first to come running to me with kisses and wanting to be on my lap.

Aside from occasionally bothering them when they are trying to sleep, he is a wonderful brother to his siblings. Once, his brother was having a bad dream and whimpering in his sleep and Axel ran over, very concerned, and snuggled and nudged him to wake up. It was the sweetest thing I have seen a dog do.

Axel is a wonderful, loving, and energetic puppy that will steal your heart, as he did ours.
