Meet Ace-

Where do we even begin with this sweet boy? Ace was chained outside at a shelter in all elements. No shelter, just the chain. You see, Ace had numerous strikes against him… he’s a bully, he’s a large breed, he was heartworm positive, and he’s black. Quadruple whammy. He’s lucky he even made it out of the shelter. But we saw his potential. His potential that he’s more than lived up to while being in foster care. Ace is as gentle as they come. He flinches when you reach toward him thinking he’s going to be punished. He really took a beating in his previous life but now, it’s all rainbows and butterflies!
Ace is a mellow, observant, patient, and gentle guy. He will lay in his dog bed quietly while you work and will watch the other dogs play to their heart’s content. Every once in a while he will get up and play, but mostly he just likes to soak in the warmth and safety of finally being in a home. He is being fostered in a home with dogs, cats, and a toddler (does great with all). And while he is absolutely fine with the toddler, the loud screaming spiderman, batman, or whatever! from a 3 year old boy can be a little scary and he will lay in the other room. He is a little shy when it comes to meeting new people but when he knows that you’re there to give him some ear scratches, he’ll insist on being homies. He is doing great on walks and will observe other dogs and people passing by. When he first got into his foster, walks were scary. But now, ,this brave dude can walk around the block strutting his stuff! Afterall, he’s no longer living on a chain or being hit. And to him, thats a major win. But the ultimate life win?! A forever home to call his own. Is that with you?
