Meet Vanilla! Or as his foster family calls him – Vinnie!

This handsome boy came to us from a crowded shelter and is finding out that life outside the shelter is pretty great! He’s a big boy at 65 pounds (and he’s working on gaining a few) but gives big love and has BIG potential!

His forever home will need to be dedicated to training because he still has more to learn. He also would really benefit from the mental stimulation. Vinnie is very treated motivated and has quickly learned some basic commands such as sit, lay down, and leave it (this is a favorite of his foster moms!). Vinnie sleeps all night long in his kennel and is a very good about not having accidents in the house. He’s a smart boy!

Things Vinnie loves…

• Being outside! Playing fetch with his human brother is one of his favorite things. Vinnie also likes to explore and get all of his wiggles out outside, so he would love a fenced yard or acreage.

• Kids! Vinnie loves the kids in his foster home – he’s very gentle! However, because he is a big boy and still learning, school aged and dog savvy kids would be best!

• Exercise! Vinnie is doing a great job learning how to walk on a leash and with more training would be the perfect running buddy.

• Other dogs! Vinnie loves a good romp with his foster sister. Another dog to play with and continue to teach him the ropes of what it means to be a dog would be a bonus!

• His people! Personal space? What’s that?! Vinnie likes to go wherever his people go. He loves all the snuggles and pets.
